Hello! I am sharing with you today a few cards made with the new Simon Says Stamp February Card Kit! I love their card kits- you can make so many different cards with just one kit.
It’s best to subscribe so you get the first chance to have a kit as they often sell out. Plus you save $5 and it’s nice because you can pause a month here and there if needed!
A Colorful Crafty Life, Simon Says Stamp February Card Kit
I was so excited when I opened the SSS February Kit and saw watercolors AND embossing folders. A mix of something I love to use a lot and something I haven’t used in a while. I dry embossed one of the folders on Distress Watercolor Cardstock and proceeded to watercolor the background with a wet wash.
A small strip of paper for the sentiment. I stamped the paint palette and paint tube and fussy cut them out. I added 2 layers of glossy accents onto the paint areas.
For the second card I used a stamp positioner to create the background. I picked a rainbow assortment of Simon Says Stamp Inks
- SSS Hot Lips dye ink
- SSS Duckling dye ink
- SSS Jellybean dye ink
- SSS Scuba dye ink
- SSS Hot Mama dye ink
I then stamped the sentiment on a cross-stitched rectangle and finished off the card with some of the clear crystals that were included in the kit.
I also love that there is a fun stamp to use on the backs of your cards
You can also buy just the stamp set, Craft Friends, if you would prefer
I hope you enjoy these cards and find them inspiring for when you get your kit!
