Hey crafty friends! 👋 I’m popping in to share a card I made using some of my favorite Tim Holtz stamps and stencils from Stampers Anonymous.
Fun fact: Stampers Anonymous doesn’t retire their Tim Holtz designs, so there’s a huge library of awesome stamps and stencils you might not have seen in a while (or totally forgot you had 😉).
Hope this project sparks some inspiration to dig into your stash and get creative! ✨

No-line Color Santa, Tim Holtz

This Santa card was such a fun mix of no-line coloring, collage, and texture, one of my favorite ways to create during the holidays.
I started with no-line coloring by stamping the image with Lawn Fawn’s Jellyfish ink pad, then coloring it in using Copic markers. No-line coloring always feels a little magical, and I love how soft and painterly the image looks once it’s finished. I’ve shared a color swatch of the Copics I used so you can easily recreate this look with your own coloring medium.
For the background, I began by splattering and lightly spreading gold paint from the Gansai Tambi Starry Colors palette. That subtle shimmer adds so much warmth and interest without overpowering the image. Once dry, I built up a collage of stamped elements that were colored using Distress Watercolor Pencils. To give everything a worn, vintage feel, I ran a paper distresser along the edges of the collage pieces before layering them behind Santa.
The sentiment was stamped using Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide, which ties in perfectly with the reds in Santa’s suit while keeping the look soft and cohesive.
Of course, no Santa is complete without a little sparkle. I added Distress Rock Candy Clear to all the trim on Santa’s outfit for snowy texture, along with a touch of gold glitter on his belt buckle. To finish everything off, I sprinkled Distress Rock Candy Chunky around the collage elements for even more dimension and shine.
This project is a great example of how combining different techniques: no-line coloring, watercolor pencil collage, and dimensional texture, can come together to create a layered holiday card full of personality. I love how festive, slightly vintage, and wonderfully sparkly this one turned out. ✨🎄
