Hi everyone! I am here today to share with you the fun cards I created with the new Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous release. I am honored to be a Tim Holtz maker and am so excited to inspire you more with his products!!!
Dreamer, Tim Holtz
Using Distress Watercolor Cardstock, I did some no-line watercoloring with Distress Inks and the main image from the new Floral Outline stamp set
I don’t have a tutorial with this specific image, but you can see the video I put together last fall with Tim’s Vintage Holidays santa here. I also recently shared my no-line watercoloring with Distress Inks on a beautiful nautical Impression Obsession stamp, and you can watch that here.
I will just mention that Speckled Egg Distress Ink is magical, and that is what I used on the edges of this image. I just love how it makes the colors and illustration POP.
How Old?, Tim Holtz
I had some inky fun for the background on this. Distress Inks and Distress White Heavystock, nice and bright! I chose not to color in the inquisitive dude, kept it simple. I also used one of Tim’s Label Stickers to go along with the sentiment.
Underwater Desert, Tim Holtz
I’m not going to lie, I sort of created this one as a joke for Tim. I was telling him that I only know how to “mermaid” and I don’t know how to “desert” hehehe. I had a lot of fun creating this underwater scene from my imagination.
Using Mod Cactus and Bold Sayings on this card. I created some inky backgrounds with Distress Inks and Distress White Heavystock. I cut my own rocks and used a paper distresser on them. Over the sentiment, I used Collage Medium and Distress Rock Candy Glitter.
Artistry, Tim Holtz
For this card, I started by ink smooshing a rainbow background using Distress Inks and Distress White Heavystock. I then stamped this funky dude from Observations
I did a little word-fetti and fussy cutting with the sentiment.
Focus on the Good, Tim Holtz
For this card, I ink blended through the new Nature Layering Stencil. I then stamped over it with Bold Sayings and Black Soot Archival Ink. Oh, yea! Did you hear? There are full-sized Archival pads in Black Soot, Vintage Photo, Ground Espresso, and Hickory Smoke.
I snagged the above photo from Tim Holtz’s Instagram, to show you why you NEED Black Soot Archival in your life. It is such a nice true, rich black, no purple hue. It is waterproof and permanent. It’s the perfect ink to stamp over any inky or paint projects you have worked on. I know people often ask if it is Copic or Alcohol Marker friendly. The short answer is “sure”. However, it can be touchy with light colors. I will stick with Lawn Fawn Jet Black for all of my Copic Coloring.
Hello My Friend, Tim Holtz
For this card, I ink blended through the new Dotted Line stencil and then stamped another Bold Saying, this time with the Hickory Smoke Archival Ink.
Bold Sayings Card Set, Tim Holtz
Last but not least, I created this fun card set with the new Bold Sayings. This is your reminder to not overcomplicate creativity. Just have fun! Here I made some inky backgrounds with Distress Ink and Distress Oxide. I then embossed the sentiments on top, and added some sparkles and gems.
I really hope you find these cards inspiring! Which of the new goodies is your fave? Let me know in the comments!

Gorgeous cards! I guess we are all getting a grammar lesson on the proper use of it’s and its. 😉. I do love the new stamps, but I’m most excited about the full size Archival ink pads. I have the large quad, and, of course, the minis, but it will be nice to have the bundle.
Please white-out the apostrophe on the It’s in the Artistry stamp. It’s means it is. His, hers and its are possessive but NO apostrophes to be seen. Love your work!
Jenn. Sooo much to choose from. Absolutely love the first card with the flowers but all the others are so unique. Leave it to you to dress everything up nicely!!!
