Edited to Add: Winner of my giveaway from World Cardmaking Day post is announced here!
This week on the Lawnscaping Challenge blog we are challenging you to use patterned paper on a card. I love how Lawn Fawn has a fun decorative strip on the opposite side of the bar code on their 12×12 papers. I Use their 12×12 papers a lot prepping for classes, and I always have a hard time throwing these strips away because they are SO cute!
So for this challenge I wanted to use some of those strips! Cute right!? The holly strip, The “Season’s Tweetings” and the Red patterned paper at the bottom are all from the barcode strips of the Snow Day Lawn Fawn 12×12 paper. Did you know Lawn Fawn sells collection sets of their 12×12 paper or you can get a pack of paper- there is only 12 sheets per pack- totally useful if you are mass producing holiday cards 😉
I stamped the bench from Winter in the Park, a Lawn Fawn set in Hero Arts Navy ink. I then stamped and diecut one of the birdies from the Winter Sparrows set– coloring in with copics and adding some white liquid applique to the ear muffs. I stamped a few teal music notes on one of the new spruce woodgrain notecards. To finish off the card I put a little bit of glossy accents wherever I thought the snow may be – and sprinkled some shaved ice from Stampendous.
Hope you enjoy this creation and I can’t wait to see what you come up with for this challenge. The lucky winner will win a gift certificate from our generous sponsors, Simon Says Stamp!
Hey Jenn! I love your card! What a great use of all of those pattern papers. I’m going to join this challenge. I have so much pattern paper it’s not funny. I haven’t forgotten about the retreat. I get paid this weekend so I will be paying for my place of relaxation.
