This week on the Lawnscaping Challenge blog we are challenging you to create a one layer card. These are harder then you would think- but I was up for the challenge.
Part of doing a one layer card means I can’t use foam tape- and those of you who take my classes know there is rarely a card that I create that doesn’t have foam tape. I was trying to think of a clever and unique way to do the one layer card- and I came up with this idea.
I created my own stencil using the scripty hello lawn cut die, then I used that to mask out the tiny leaves and flowers from the sweater weather stamp set from Lawn Fawn.
Again I am using my new mini distress inks- I just LOVE these if you can’t tell. I just can’t stop using them! I used a bunch of fall colors and stamped the different tiny leaves, flowers and heart. Layering the images until the whole “hello” was filled in.
Then using the new Violet’s ABC’s I stamped out “friend”. Added a sprinkle of tiny hearts, and then this one layer card was done!
This is SO AWESOME! Such a fun and super clever idea!!!
Love it! So clever!
I LOVE that you used the die as a mask! (I did a similar thing on my card – high five!!!!)
Love the colors and how the little images added color – GENIUS!! You rock!
Awesome card, Jenn! The colors are perfect for fall and I really like how you made a mask with the sentiment! And those distress inks look like fun – I might have to add them to my craft list! 🙂
OMG LOVE this idea Jenn!!! Pinning!
