Hey everyone! I missed out on the last Lawnscaping Challenge– way too much going on. I am excited to be back with this current challenge. I love DISTRESS! A lot of times people think a “distress” look is only used on an artsy fartsy project, or mixed media, altered books etc. You can get all kinds of “distress looks” and even pair it with whimsical images like Lawn Fawn.
For this card I used distress inks to ink up the night sky. I first embossed Starry Backdrops in white, and then with my blending tool inked up the background with Chipped Sapphire and Salty Ocean distress inks.
This is the stitched journaling card- which I just can’t get enough of. It comes with the little banner I stamped the sentiment on. The sentiment, tiny stars and moon are also from the Starry Backdrops. I stamped the tiny stars and then used my water brush to blend out the lines and help fill the stars in with a bit of color. The moon I “painted in” by picking up color from my Wild Honey Distress ink pad.
I added a little bit of wink of stella glitter pen on the moon and yellow stars.
This is a sweet card that can be used for all kinds of occasions 😉 Hope you enjoy and would love to see you participate in this challenge!
Lawn Fawn is sponsoring it, and that means a chance at some awesome products for your crafty space!!
Great CAS card, loving the distress background on the tag piece, and just the stillness/calmness in this card.
