My Monthly Hero Kit, Hero Arts

Hello everyone! I was so excited when Libby invited me to be part of the blog hop revealing the July My Monthly Hero Kit from Hero Arts!! It is a ocean lovers dream!!!

Edited to add: technical difficulties are over!! Whoo hoo! Thank you to everyone who left me a comment and took note to come back and check out my blog again, I really appreciate it!

My Monthly Hero Kit Blog Hop, Hero Arts | shurkus.com

I didn’t really think I could fall in love with an octopus…until now. WOW! I just love how it comes alive when you stamp the two layers.

My card features a few of the kit add-ons. Color Layering Octopus and Ombré Mermaid Ink Pad.

I stamped the solid octopus with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink. I then stamped the top layer with Seedless Preserves Distress Ink. The coral was stamped with Abandoned Coral Distress Ink. I mixed 1st and 2nd generation stamping. The little fishes were stamped with Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment with the new Ombré Mermaid Ink Pad.
