It’s a zombie Halloween

I love Halloween creations- unfortunately, I don’t usually get to make a lot of them because I am so busy teaching in the fall months. A couple weekends ago I was at a retreat with some friends and all I got done on the crafty front was to color some zombies. My weekend instead was filled with tons of laughter, story sharing, lemon drop martini’s, and little sleep. I wouldn’t have it any other way 😉

It’s a zombie Halloween

I decided to use some of the zombie images to create a Halloween card. The main images are from Tim Holtz’s 2018 Zombie cling stamp set. I had fun coloring them with Copic markers and fussy cutting them out, so when I came home they were ready to be added to a card.

For the background of the card, I used the Twisted Layering Stencil, and an ink blending tool to ink a little bit of Scattered Straw Distress Oxide ink onto black cardstock.

For the sentiment, I stamped “Happy Halloween” on orange cardstock from the 2018 Mr. Bones stamp set. I also die cut “OOOHH” several times in orange and gray cardstock from the Tim Holtz, Sizzix Alphanumeric Cutout Upper Thinlits Die Set. I then glued them together to create a dimensional spooky sentiment.

I added a stitched frame in gray cardstock. To finish off the card I added some Rock Candy Dry Glitter to the tombstone and glossy accents to the zombie’s eyes.
