Hey friends! Simon Says Stamp has come out with some more coordinating dies to work with Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous stamp sets! I used some of the fabulous coordinating dies to create these cards.
These dies are exclusively available at Simon Says Stamp! 🙌
Not only do they save you from all that fussy cutting, but they also unlock a whole new world of creative possibilities, especially when it comes to layering and collage. Let’s dive in!

Hope For Tomorrow, Tim Holtz

I started this card by creating the background using the Correspondence stamp set. I kept all of the stamps on the backing sheet, inked them up with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink, and stamped them repeatedly to create a subtle, layered background. Once that was finished, I splattered a bit of Black Soot Distress Paint over the panel for added texture. After everything was dry, I trimmed the panel down to 4” x 5.25” and matted it onto Black Licorice cardstock.
Next, I moved on to the focal image. I added Distress Watercolor Pencils directly onto the Professor stamp (the specific colors are listed in the supply list below), lightly misted the stamp with water, and then stamped it onto Distress Watercolor Cardstock. Once the image was completely dry, I die-cut it using the new coordinating die. I also stamped the image again with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink and die-cut just the glasses with the coordinating die set.
To add even more interest, I scribbled Distress Watercolor Pencils directly onto a few of the Correspondence images and stamped them in coordinating areas on the professor’s jacket. I love how this ties the background and focal image together while adding subtle detail.
For the sentiment, I used Small Talk stickers, and I added a few black gems from Honey Bee Stamps for texture. As a finishing touch, I added Glossy Accents to the glasses for a bit of shine and dimension.
The new coordinating dies make it so easy to bring these images to life, which means you can focus more on the creative play and less on the fussy cutting. It’s the perfect excuse to experiment and let your watercolors do their thing.
