Holiday Cheer, Simon Says Stamp July Card Kit

As always, I had so much fun creating with this card kit! It definitely puts you in the holiday spirit!

I love snowflakes!! AS long as I don’t really need to feel them 😉 I used all the snowflakes in the stamp set to create this background. Using Distress Oxide inks to stamp them. I used Festive Berries, Worn Lipstick, Broken China and Tumbled Glass. I then added some of the chipboard shapes in the kit along with some sequins. Lastly, I stamped “Merry Christmas” in white on black.

I had a lot of fun with this next card. I stamped and colored the Santa first, then masked him off. Next, I stamped the north pole signs and colored. I masked that off and ink blended over the scene with Tumbled Glass regular Distress Ink. Then I stamped the snow in Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide.

To create the letter to Santa, I cut a rectangle of cardstock. I stamped one of the postage stamps and cut it out with straight cuts, then I took a 1/8″ hole punch to knock out the notches in the postage stamp. Of course, I had to add a little Lawn Fawn Prisma Glitter with a quickie glue pen.

For this last card, I had fun creating some background paper with all the small sentiments from the set. I stamped them in Pine Needles Distress Oxide Ink. I pieced together the candy cane with Lawn Fawn Chili Pepper cardstock as well as Lawn Fawn Gold Glitter Cardstock and Pixie Dust Glitter Cardstock.

I added some of the patterned papers from the kit as well as sequins.

There are so many other combinations I could create with this awesome card kit, I can’t wait to play with it a bit more!
