Today I’m excited to share a card using some of Simon Says Stamp’s newest coordinating dies for Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous stamps. It’s such a fun release; it breathes new life into stamp sets you’ve had for years, and if you don’t own them yet, it’s the perfect excuse to add them to your wishlist, since fussy cutting is officially optional.
I’m sharing a Halloween card today, with all supplies linked below. Grab your coffee and let’s get inky, and if you have any questions along the way, don’t hesitate to reach out at [email protected].
These dies are exclusively available at Simon Says Stamp!
Hope this project sparks some inspiration to dig into your stash and get creative! ✨
Hocus Pocus, Tim Holtz

Hello, friends! I’m back with another spooky creation, and this one is full of glowing color, sparkle, and a little bit of silly Halloween fun. 🧙♀️👁️
The Background
I started by spreading Distress Texture Paste Black Opaque through the Halloween Script stencil. Once the paste was dry, I ink blended Distress Inks over the top, moving from bright yellow and orange into deep purple and blue. The ink glides right over the raised black paste, so the bold words and spooky images really stand out.
Next, I splattered some water droplets with my Distress Sprayer and blotted them to get those fun watermarks. For a little extra glow, I also splattered some Fossilized Amber Distress Spritz.
The Witch Hat and Eyeball Jar
I stamped the eyeball in a jar and the witch hat from the Scared Silly stamp set onto Distress Watercolor Cardstock and watercolored them with Distress Watercolor Pencils. Then I used the coordinating dies to cut them out and added them to the card with foam squares for dimension.
To make the details shine, I added a touch of gold glitter to the hat’s buckle with a Quickie Glue Pen and a layer of Glossy Accents to the eyeball so it looks wet and extra creepy!
The Sentiment
For the “Hocus Pocus” sentiment, I colored a Distress Watercolor Pencil directly onto the stamp, then stamped it onto Distress Watercolor Cardstock and die cut it out. It’s such an easy way to get a soft, watercolor look on a sentiment.
Finishing Touches
To add some sparkle, I sprinkled orange stars cut from orange sparkle cardstock with the Lawn Fawn Hearts and Stars Skinny Tag die, along with some iridescent sequins. Lastly, I added a touch of Distress Rock Candy Clear and Distress Rock Candy Chunky here and there for a little extra shimmer and texture.
Thanks for Stopping By!
I hope this card casts a little Halloween magic on your crafty day! Do you like to add sparkle to your Halloween cards, or do you keep them dark and moody? Let me know in the comments. I love hearing from you!
