Happy Die-cember!

Happy Die-Cember everyone! Simon Says Stamp has a ton of fun products they are releasing today, and I have a few cards to inspire you!

You are awesome!

We all need to hear that every once in a while right? How great would it be if you made a stack of cards telling your friends they are awesome and mailed them- just because 😉

For this first card, I played with some alcohol inks on Yupo paper. I used Pool, Bottle and Lettuce Alcohol inks. While the ink was still tacky, I pressed some gold foil into it. I love how this adds some sparkle to parts of the background. For the sentiment, I die-cut the new “You are Awesome” die 4 times with black cardstock, and once with gold glitter cardstock. I stacked them using a Lawn Fawn Glue Tube. Lastly, I added a few white Nuvo drops.

For this second card, using a piece of Distress Watercolor Cardstock I created an inky background by ink smooshing Dried Marigold Distress Oxide ink, heat setting it. Then I added a layer of Dried Marigold regular Distress Ink and heat setting it. For the sentiment, I Alcohol inked a piece of Yupo paper with Peach Bellini, Pink Sherbert, and Flamingo. Then I die-cut “You’re Awesome” from that. I also cut 4 other from black cardstock so I could sentiment stack them with a Lawn Fawn Glue Tube. Lastly, I added a few black Nuvo drops on the background.
