If you are visiting from Newton’s Nook Blog- Welcome! I hope you will enjoy your time browsing my site 🙂 Be sure to check out this page to learn more about me
Jennifer asked me a few months back but my calendar was jam packed already so I am so happy that she was patient with me. In March I was honored to be able to use Newton’s Nook designs stamps at the March Loft Art Retreat… Jen was awesome to work with and super helpful throughout the process!
I only discovered Newton’s Nook Designs last year, but I immediately fell in love! Hello….. Kitty Stamps! 🙂 And I love how easy they are to color to look like ANY kitty. Hello Mister Harley’s 😉
As I got orders in Mister Harley quickly approved 😉 Not sure if it was the stamps he loved or Newton’s scent 😉 (you can even see a little video of his approval here)
Anyways- when I saw the Naughty Newton Stamp Set- I just KNEW I needed it. Mister Harley is fresh, fresh, fresh. I love him to pieces but it is a fact. I just knew this set would be so cute to have and color all the kitties to look like him 😉
How fun is this stamp? I also haven’t colored this angle of Mister Harley before so I had to do some studying 😉 I used some pattern papers from the 6×6 Simple Stories I Am paper pad. I tore the paper, exposing those fun hearts. I stamped Mister H directly on the patterned paper and then again on the smooth side of some Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I used my watercolor pencils to add his markings. I then fussy cut him out and adhered him to the card. I had the teal ribbon in my stash and for the sentiment I die cut out a tag from Tim Holtz’s Tiny Tabs & Tags Sizzix Die. I stamped the sentiment. I love how little the letters are but how crisply they stamp! I had a left over heart from this card, so I adhered that as well.
You can see a few other cards I have created with Newton’s Nook Designs here (of course they are all mister harley’s) :
- I created a fun Valentine Card with a Christmas set
- I used Spectrum Noir Colored pencils to create this cheery card
I will be back throughout the month sharing with you new stamp sets that Jen is releasing this month as well as some other featured posts! We created a bunch of cards at the Loft Art retreat as well ( a sneak of one of them is above) I will have to share those throughout the month too! Thank you for the warm welcome Jen- I look forward to working with you and your super talented design team!
