Ok, let’s be honest.
November rolls around and we say to ourselves “man I should’ve started to make holiday cards A LOT sooner.”
or
I have so many wicked cute holiday sets that I haven’t even had a chance to play with yet.
I am going to guess that most of you who are reading this post fall into one if not both of those scenarios. So I was talking with my crafty friends Chari and Cheiron, and I mentioned it would be fun to challenge each other to create at least one-holiday card a month. I mean, that would give me 12 handmade holiday cards to send out this year and that would be way more then I sent out last year.
So each month on the third Thursday each of us girls is going to post our holiday creation and hopefully inspire you to create one too!
If you do end up making any please leave a comment below with a link, or tag me on Instagram so I can see! We are also going to use the hashtag #getcrackingonchristmas
We can do this! We can create holiday cards all year, and be a little bit more prepared for the holiday season!
Merry Reindeer
I am not even going to admit how long I have had the Reindeer Games set from Mama Elephant, all that matters now is that I am using it right?!
I started by stamping all the reindeer all over the background. I sprinkled a few of the small star stamps in between to fill in space. When doing this be sure to stamp off the edge of your cardstock to really fill the space. Then I colored them all in with Copic markers. Can you spot Rudolph?
Once all the reindeer were colored in, I then colored the background with B41, Powder Blue Copic Marker.
I die cut 4 Scripty Merry’s from Lawn Fawn and stacked them using Lawn Fawn’s Glue Tube. Then I die cut the largest Stitched Frame Rectangle from Lawn Fawn out of Moonstone Cardstock, it matched perfectly with that Copic marker!
Once I had all of that adhered to the card I used a quickie glue pen and added some Prisma glitter to the stars and the reindeer’s collars. I also added some black glaze pen to their noses (except for Rudolph, I added some glossy accents).
Ok, time for you to go visit Cheiron, and Chari to see what they created THEN your turn to make a holiday card! I can’t wait to see what you make 🙂

What a great idea, Jenn! I’m really, really, really going to try and join in!
I have been cataloging my stamps, have not touched my Xmas ones. . . I think I should just start playing😉
I love this fun card. Those darling reindeer are just so cute. I need to remember this design I love it.
Cute card! Great idea to get started on Christmas cards now, think I need to get going because I like to send out quite a few to my family and friends.
Juuuust adorable, and a great reminder to get crack-a-lackin on those cards. I am going to treat the super hot days like “rain days”, maybe even put on some Christmas music!
I picked up this stamp set at the after Christmas sales last year. What a cute card. Thanks for the idea.
You used the reindeer! Super cute, Jenn!
Great idea Jenn! Cute card! I definitely fall in to both categories. Christmas in July will be one of my goals.
Never to early to star with x-mas cards!!
Super cute!!!
Love this idea Jenn! Thinking of kicking off Christmas in July doing something like this with my customers and offering a prize Dec 15th to everyone who completes.
