Hello everyone! I am excited to participate in another year of the Get Cracking on Christmas series and wicked excited to work on my stash of holiday cards throughout the year! I will continue to create holiday cards with NO STRESS, using stamps and supplies I haven’t had a chance to play with yet and experimenting with different techniques.

Get Cracking: Merry Watercoloring

I decided this month to play with some more of the new Concord & 9th goodies I purchased this fall. I had so much fun working with the Festive Blooms die set, using more of it than I had previously, and playing with Distress Watercolor Pencils. On the background I added a little bit of shimmer using the Gansai Tambi Starry Colors Palette.

For the sentiment, I used the Concord & 9th Jolly Holiday Die set. I die-cut the front layer out of Distress Watercolor Cardstock, and the back layer out of Lawn Fawn Champagne Metallic Cardstock.

I added some Distress Rock Candy onto the letters and a little bit on the flowers with Distress Collage Medium. I added a touch of glossy accents here and there along the sentiment and sprinkled just a touch of Lawn Fawn Chunky Glitter.

I love the look of watercolor, and it worked out perfectly on this card! So much fun!! I can’t wait to share some tips and tricks with you during my YouTube LIVE.
