Delightful, Pinkfresh Studio
I started by creating the backgrounds using the Overlapping Geometrics Stencil set and inkblending onto Distress White Heavystock. I went with a cool and warm color scheme using the following Pinkfresh Inks:
Cool:
- Grassy Knoll
- Aquamarine
- Turquoise
- Wisteria
- Slumber
- Candy Violet
Warm:
- Sweet Mustard
- Apricot
- Clementine
- Sparkling Rose
- Bubblegum
- Raspberry Bliss
I then used the Joyful Day Press Plate and letterpressed the leaves onto Distress Watercolor Cardstock with black ink. I used the Spellbinders BetterPress system with my Spellbinders Platinum die-cut machine, but it will work with most die-cut machines. I then watercolored the images with Distress Watercolor Pencils. I diecut the images with the coordinating die set. There is also a coordinating stencil set and stamp set for this fun imagery.
For the sentiments, I white embossed onto black cardstock. I used the sentiments in the Joyful Day stamp set. Whenever I do ANY embossing, I prep the surface using the Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool. I stamp the sentiment several times over using a Misti and Yeti white pigment ink, then sprinkle the Alabaster White embossing powder from Brutus Monroe.
I trimmed down the panel and added it to black cardstock. I arranged the images around the background. Adhering some with foam squares and some flat against the background. I then added some jewels from Pinkfresh Studio.
