Hello Everyone! I am back with the last post in the COOLest Card Series for 2016! I have been hosting this card series every Thursday in January. It’s the COOLest Cards Series and it has been featuring snowman and snowflakes! Yep, you read that correctly. This summer loving, winter hating girl LOVES snowman and snowflakes- just as long as I don’t need to feel the cold! Ha! Two years ago I hosted this series, and last year I just didn’t get around to doing it. I missed it. It was so much fun and a great way for me to use all the snow related supplies I have collected!
See week 1: Stencils, Paper Smooches
See week 2: Watercolor, My Favorite Things
See week 3: Valentine Colors, Lawn Fawn
You have until February 3rd at 3p to enter all of the link ups. You do not need to use products from the companies we did, you just need to follow the themes
This year Audrey another snow loving creative friend is sharing along with me. That means more inspiration for you! I am also inviting you to participate with us and of course that gives you a chance to win some AWESOME prizes!!!
This week the theme is Sparkle. This week Audrey and I decided to have an “anything goes” for the companies we feature. If you are going to enter the giveaway be sure the project is SNOW themed AND you use a Sparkle in some way.
I had purchased 2 new stamps from Hero Arts before the holidays and hadn’t had a chance to play with them- so this was the perfect time. Of course I couldn’t resist the Hand Drawn Snowflakes Stamp and I just fell in love with the Candy Stripes Stamp.
I started by stamping the Hand Drawn Snowflakes in VersaMark ink and embossing them with white embossing powder. I then spritzed the background with Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers Distress Spray Stains. I white embossed a small strip of Distress Watercolor Cardstock with the Candy Strip stamp and spritzed it with Picked Raspberry Distress Spray Stains.
For my sparkle I found some adhesive glitter ribbon from American Crafts. I added it down the side of the card but I also used it to cut out Lawn Fawn’s Thank You Border. It was perfect since it was adhesive it made adhering this dainty die so much easier!
