Brushed Flowers, Simon Says Stamp Card Kit

Hello! I am sharing with you today some cards I created with the Simon Says Stamp’s May Card Kit, Brushed Flowers! This kit is overflowing with products! Brushed Flowers, Simon Says Stamp Card Kit

Sometimes, the simplest cards are the best cards. For these, I let the beautiful patterned papers from Prima Marketing that were included in the kit do all the work!

I started by embossing one of the sentiments from the Brushed Flowers 6×8 stamp set onto vellum strips, using Versafine Onyx Black and SSS Ultrafine Clear Embossing Powder. The embossing powder is one of my faves, and is included in the kit!

I then white embossed some of the smaller sentiments onto black cardstock using Yeti Lawn Fawn pigment ink, and Alabaster White Brutus Monroe White Embossing Powder.

Note: whenever I do ANY embossing, I prep the surface using the Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool

I trimmed the patterned paper panels to be 4″x5.25″ and wrapped the vellum around them, adhering it on the back, so I didn’t need to worry about adhesive showing through the vellum.

I matted these onto black cardstock. I then cut the smaller sentiments into little “word fetti” strips and used 3L foam strips to adhere them to the cards.

Lastly, to add a little sparkle, I added some flat back rhinestones from Trinity Stamps: Topaz Twinkle, Amber Glow, and Morganite Muse
