Hey everyone! Welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Christmas challenge last week and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is Anything Goes! Remember you can enter up to 5 times! 🙂
We are showcasing Altenew Products but you don’t have to use them to enter the challenge. As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store.
I won’t admit how long I have owned this stamp set from Altenew, Sketcy Citites America and just haven’t had a chance to ink it up until now. Whats important is that I finally got to play with it! Although I live in Providence, Rhode Island, growing up in NH and living on Cape Cod for 10 years, Boston will always hold a warm spot in my heart 🙂
I decided to stay with a Christmas theme and create this holiday greeting. I embossed the Boston cityscape in white on Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I then spritzed the cardstock with water, then Broken China Distress Ink Spray Stain. I heat set it, spritzed with water again and then added Seedless Preserves Distress Ink Spray Stain. To create the snow falling in the background I used Stampendous Chunky White Embossing Powder. You can watch this tutorial video where I did the same effect. The sentiment is from Believe in Magic a Mama Elephant stamp set. To create the moon I die cut a circle and filled it in with quickie glue pen to glitter the whole thing.
I wanted to try this same design with the Frosted Crystal Embossing Powder from Ranger. I like it, but not sure it is as successful as when I used the White Embossing powder, but still fun to play! Instead of Broken China I used Peacock Feather Distress Stain Spray.
Ok- so now it’s time for YOU to enter the challenge. Remember, Anything Goes! is the theme so have fun and get into the holiday spirit! Just by playing along and linking up your project to the SSS Wednesday Challenge post you can qualify to enter a $50 shopping voucher to the Simon Says Stamp store.
Also if you are on instagram tag your photo with #ssswchallenge 🙂
There will be ONE lucky winner that will be chosen at random, it could be you!
I really hope to see some of my blog readers join in on all the fun and play along with the challenge. I can’t wait to stop by some of your blogs and take a peek at what you have made. Have a wicked fun time creating!

Simon Says Stamp!
So nice! The colors are gorgeous. Love a city scape
Since purple and teal is my fav color combo, this is totally all things “wicked cool” (as you would say). I like both of the cards for different reasons – I think you’re right that embossing it in white really makes the city pop and feel like it’s all lit up for Christmas. But I LOVE the splattery variegation of teal sky in the second!
This is very pretty! I love the night sky look! Very nice!
