Tim Holtz/Ranger: New Distress Holiday Seasonal
I started to swatch out all of the Holiday Distress Mica Sprays, and I was inspired to create this project! I love inspiring quotes, and you all know I love a little shimmer! I started by cutting small squares of Distress Watercolor cardstock and spritzing them with Distress Mica Stains. The colors are so pretty and perfect for projects all year round! There are two new sets this year and they are re-releasing the previous sets- so stock up now! I then die-cut all the squares with Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Heart dies.
I then diecut the words “Find Your Joy Today” from Gold Sparkle Cardstock using Lawn Fawn Stitched Oliver’s ABCs. I also die-cut a variety of hearts out of Gold Sparkle Cardstock
I used white gesso and dry-brushed it onto a Vignette box. I then added all the elements to it using black foam squares and Distress Collage Medium. Since this is a home decor item, I didn’t want it to fall apart, so the Distress Collage Medium gives it that extra stick.
To line up the hearts and letters I used the grid on the Make Art Stay-tion, and Best Ever Craft Tape to pick up the pieces in one row.
