Tim Holtz/Ranger: New Distress Halloween Seasonal
I absolutely love creating Halloween projects, and I had intentions of doing so with this project, but it took a life of its own, and I love how it turned out. I started by cutting small rectangles of Distress Black Heavystock and spritzing them with Distress Mica Stains. I love these, and even though they are seasonal for Halloween, they can be used on many projects! There are two new sets this year and they are re-releasing the previous sets- so stock up now!
I then diecut the leaves from the Sizzix Cut Out Leaves set, from Distress Black Heavystock, and adhered them over the Mica Stained rectangles. I then trimmed along the leaf shape with scissors. I painted some Pumice Stone Distress Paint onto a large Etcetera Tag. Once dry, I then used the new Black Opaque Distress Texture Paste, spread it through the Digits Layering Stencil, and also spread some of the edges of the large Etcetera Tag.
Once the texture paste was dry I added some Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, and Fossilized Amber Distress Paint, spritzing it with water from the Distress sprayer, spreading it around a bit with my fingers, and letting the drips go down the tag. Once that was dry I added the leaves and a sentiment from the idea-ology quote chips with Distress Collage Medium.
It was wicked fun to get a little artsy and create this mixed-media project. I hope you find it inspiring! This seasonal release of products is a limited edition, meaning once they are gone, they are gone. So if I have inspired you or jennabled you to want any of them get them SOON!

I love how you have so many different styles! You do the cutesy, copic colored Lawn Fawn type stuff so well but also can come up with these amazing Tim Holtz mixed media creations! I really like seeing what people do with the distress products but it’s just not my style of creation. I love that this art-form has so many different ways it can be expressed!
thank you so much shelley!!
