Celebrate, Simon Says Stamp

Hey everyone! Today I am sharing a fun card I created with some of the new exclusive products from the Simon Says Stamps Celebrate Release!

Congratulations, Simon Says Stamp

For this card, I started by creating the background. I did a little pigment smooshing with a Spun Sugar Distress Watercolor Pencil and a piece of acetate onto Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I then used the new Floating Flowers Embossing Folder.

Next I stamped a girl and boy from To The Happy Couple set, and colored them in with Copic Markers. I stamped out images from the Happy Couple set onto Neenah cardstock with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink. I used the Copic markers below to color the images. With the swatches above, you can easily substitute them for similar colors or even a different coloring medium. I die-cut out the happy couple. For the sentiment, I gold embossed sentiments from the To The Happy Couple stamp set which also has coordinating dies. Whenever I do ANY embossing, I prep the surface using the Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool. I stamp the image several times over using a Misti and Versamark ink, then sprinkle the Gilded Gold embossing powder from Brutus Monroe.

I added the images and sentiments to the card with foam squares and strips. I then added a touch of Prisma Glitter to the girl’s dress with a Quickie Glue Pen
