I’m Batty For You, Lawn Fawn

Hello everyone! I have a fun Lawn Fawn card to share with you today!

Alright, now to the fun card I have to share with you-

I’m Batty For You, Lawn Fawn

Watercoloring and Halloween?! Yes, please! I started by stamping and die-cutting Batty For You onto Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I embossed the images by stamping with Versafine Onyx Black and then used ultra-fine clear embossing powder. Whenever I do ANY embossing, I prep the surface using the Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool. 

I also die-cut the Full Moon (along with two of the bats included), and “Batty” out of Stitched Oliver’s ABCs out of Distress Watercolor Cardstock too.

I then watercolored with Distress re-inkers – this gives a very rich and vivid color palette. I used:

• Mustard Seed
• Fossilized Amber
• Seedless Preserves
• Villainous Potion
• Peacock Feathers
• Uncharted Mariner

I then die-cut the background with the largest stitched rectangle of the Outside In Stitched Rectangle from Lawn Fawn. I assembled the card, and then white embossed the sentiment ” I am batty for you” onto Black Licorice Cardstock, and cut it into word-fetti. I arranged the letters onto the card using the Make Art Stay-tion, and Best Ever Craft Tape to line them up and get them in the right position. I then used Black Foam Strips to adhere the word to the card.

I added a bit of white gel pen to the fangs on the bats, and some black glaze pen to the eyes on the smaller bats. I then added some Distress Rock Candy Glitter to the moon, stars, and letters with Distress Collage Medium.

This is a fun card you could give to your significant other, or even a friend!
