Inky Fall Inspired Cards, Tim Holtz/Sizzix

Inky Fall Inspired Cards, Tim Holtz/Sizzix

These cards took a year to complete! EEEK! I am being a bit dramatic 😉 I created these backgrounds last year while watching one of Tim’s LIVEs. I created one card with one of the backgrounds and held onto the others until I was inspired to pull them out again.

Using the new Oak Leaf 3D Impresslits. I created some simple inky backgrounds with Distress Inks and then used the die/embossing folder to cut the leaves out. I ink blended the edges of the leaves with various Distress Inks, whatever color was darker than the leaf. I used an ink blending tool with domed foam.

I cut the backgrounds out of Lawn Fawn’s Outside In Stitched Rectangles, the largest one, and matted them on Ground Coffee cardstock.

I then stamped a few sentiments with Distress Archival Ground Espresso Ink, from the tiny text stamp set, cut them out roughly into word fetti and inked the edges.

for some of the cards, I bunched up some twine behind the leaves to give the cards some more texture. I just love how these cards came out and I can see making more with different color schemes, not just fall! Hope they have inspired you.
