Have you heard yet? I am celebrating 10 years of blogging!
Each Tuesday this month you will want to be sure to visit my blog. I will share with you some special party guests (see below) and I have asked them to “CASE” a project from my blog. What does that mean? They get to copy or use some thing I have posted on here for inspiration. They have 10 years of ideas to pick from! They each have browsed my archives and found a card or project on my blog that has inspired them to create and they will be sharing with you that creation! Fun, right? Also be sure to read below how YOU can help me celebrate and see all the FABULOUS sponsors I have prizes from to share with YOU!

- Week 4’s celebration
First let me share with you the card I chose to CASE. I love this fall thank you card I created in 2014. It’s a fun way to create a card not using any stamps, just dies. I also love how realistic those fall leaves look thanks to Distress Inks.
So I decided to stick with Lawn Fawn since they have SO many fabulous dies to use. I wanted to do something a bit more summery and a more general card that I could send to anyone. I am using their Scripty Hello and the Spring Showers Lawn Cuts set. You also might have seen this sneak peek on instagram. I decided to add some shimmer to my card by using a bunch of the Ranger Perfect Pearls Shimmer Sprays. I LOVE these. I was so excited for how bright and shimmery this card turned out I couldn’t help but sneak peek it when it was done.
(supplies are all listed at the very bottom of this post)
I started by cutting out the larger tag in the Lawn Fawn Tag You’re It, and the clouds and sunshine from Lawn Fawn Spring Showers all out of Distress Watercolor Cardstock. For the tag, I inked it in 2 NEW Distress Colors, Blueprint Sketch and Hickory Smoke. I then spritzed it with Perfect Pearls Mist in Pearl. For the clouds I gently inked them with Tumbled Glass and spritzed them with Turquoise Perfect Pearls Mist. And for the sun I inked it in Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink and gently spritzed it with Heirloom Gold Perfect Pearls Mist. Note: I find that with most shimmer products (perfect pearls, twinkling H20’s etc) that if you heat set them it really helps bring the shimmer out as apposed to letting it dry on it’s own.
For the Scripty Hello, I inked a piece of Distress Watercolor Cardstock first in Picked Raspberry and then cut the word out- much easier this way and you don’t risk tearing it. I did the same for the rain drops, inking it first in Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink, then cutting them out. Note: I also dripped a little water onto the Chipped Sapphire inked paper, to bleach some of the color out and make it look more like water droplets.
For the clouds I added a little bit of glossy accents and sprinkled on some Rock Candy Distress Dry Glitter. I had the perfect piece of ribbon in my stash. I assembled the card on a Lawn Fawn Navy Woodgrain Notecard and with varying levels. Some elements are flat and some are popped up with foam tape.
