first beach day of the season… and as i sit here with my sunshine headache… i'm a happy happy girl
went on a walk this am, which was soo painful.. not sure whats up with my calves.. grrrrr
then i hopped in the jetta and headed to chatham..lighthouse beach
… seriously my fave beach on the cape….
now as i try to kick this headache of mine.. im heading into the crafty space to work on.. ironically some holiday themed things (craziness!!!)
some random thoughts for today:
this girl absolutely inspires me to the clouds and beyond!!
i need to get back on track of making healthy eating choices.. im doing the walking thing.. and the gym thing but neither of those matter if i eat it all down the drain…. any suggestions for quick and healthy breakfast options?? that one always stumps me….
i need to scrap more, i miss it… i want to document my everyday… as boring as it may be sometimes 🙂 i want to be involved in the creative process where i'm not concerned if i can teach it.. or if people will want to sign up for it…. i will start to schedule it in my cal, just like i do my gym time 🙂
….. which also means i need to take more pics!
this blog reminds me of how lonely i am sometimes
i have been enjoying tori's new album…. as always i need time to warm up to it ;)
peace out.
A bowl of Special K with 2% milk is great (and there are so many yummy varieties) or make a parfait with low fat yogurt, lowfat granola and unsweetened frozen fruit. YUMMY as well. I have been doing weight watchers, even though I don’t have a lot of weight to lose it teaches great eating habits. Having to write down everything you eat makes you more accountable.
Fun pics! I’m so jealous! Such a tough life, but someone’s gotta do it, huh? I need to go to the beach more often, even if it’s not warm enough here! 😀
Breakfast is tough for me. I usually just do my iced mocha every morning, not too healthy. When I do force myself to eat breakfast, I usually do something like wheat toast with peanut butter, or a banana or a scrambled egg or yogurt. Not a whole lot though. I’m probably not the best one to give advice in this area! 😀
Yay for your new Tori CD!!
Perfect pic of you on your little slice of heaven (beach.) I do the Southbeach diet bars as they have a good ratio of protein to carbs so they saitisfy until lunch. Kashi has some good cereals with added protein so that gives staying power. It’s all about eating protein with each meal so you feel sated longer. 🙂 How is Sweet Harley doing?
I have the same problem with healthy eating; I work out and everything but my eating choices can sometimes be um, less than stellar haha. For breakfast I love to throw a couple of almonds into a bowl of instant oatmeal and have a yogurt w/that or a piece or two of turkey bacon. It’s super fast, has some protein, and it’s healthy. Also string cheese is a great, low cal mid morning snack (only like 80 calories I think). I’ve found the thing that helps me stay on track with my eating the most is eating a snack in the AM and afternoon (like the string cheese, etc.) and then I don’t get the major sugar cravings I usually do when I’m starving.
Ok, whew that was a lot longer than I expected. I love the sneak peeks, can’t wait for the release! 🙂
jealous that you were soaking up the sun yesterday!!! i’m digging the first half of the album… i think i keep missing the last few songs, which is taking me longer to fall in love with them, i guess. 🙂
I was thinking about doing scrapbooking on my walk to my apt tonight. Earlier today there was a cute little baby maple leaf on the sidewalk on my walk to my parents. I picked it up and placed it between two pages in a book from my bag. Then on my way home tonight I was thinking about that leaf and other leaves I’ve picked up and pressed in books. While they are neat, over time they lose their history, location, and story. Sometimes I’ll write on the leaf some factoids. But then I remembered some of your posts on your blog here and how I could make it into a crafy project where the leaf is incorporated into a page that tells the story of the day. 🙂
And then i come home and see you are writing about scrapbooking! yay! I can’t wait to see what you do.
