this pic was taken at my grandpas in landaff new hampshire, i remember he had a poloroid camera and i thought it was soooo cool to watch the picture appear….
he ran a bed and breakfast there, where people from all over the world fell in love with his homemade horseradish…. which in return started my grandpa to bottle, label and ship it everywhere…. he even sold it in some local stores as well……
my dad and i would go up and visit my grandpa usually between thanksgiving and christmas…. we would pick a tree off his land.. they would cut it down and we would bring it home… it was usually 10ft or so.. since we had high ceilings in our livingroom….
i remember leaving very early in the am.. and my dad waking me up as we went through franconia notch, so i would be able to see the old man in the mountain….. which also reminds me of the day the old man crumbled to the ground, my dad called me to tell me, through tears…
memories 🙂 merry christmas eve everyone 🙂
