WOW! And just like that another Loft Art Retreat is over… and after a week of cleaning up, re-organizing, shipping product back to Lawn Fawn and Simon Says Stamp…. oh yea and work I think I am finally caught up! I am so excited that everyone is enjoying these retreats so much, because guess what? I LOVE hosting them!!
One thing I really wanted to do with these retreats is spoil and inspire the attendees as much as I can! I almost enjoy getting ready for the event more than the actual event. The card Loft Art Retreats require A LOT of kitting. A LOT of pre-stamping and die-cutting… A LOT of little pieces. This time I was SO VERY LUCKY to have my friend Amy helping with all of that!! I seriously don’t think I would’ve been able to get it all done if it wasn’t for her! Thank you AMY!!!
Everyone got to play with all kinds of goodies from Lawn Fawn, Simon Says Stamp and Ranger! They went home with 20 handmade holiday cards! These cards were unique and specifically designed for the retreat.
It was so fun to get all the fun packages of goodies in the mail from Lawn Fawn, and Simon Says Stamp (so very happy I invested in the red wagon 😉 ). I appreciate the support of Kelly, Mike and Heidi and couldn’t host these events for you without them! Thank you!!
I used my own handmade cards from previous classes and blog posts to “decorate” the loft. Hanging them with clothes pins on bakers twine, perfect! This time I even added some cards above the mirror in the bathroom. This was a huge hit! I think a few ladies probably went home trying to convince their hubby’s that they should decorate their bathrooms the same way 😉
The weekend before the retreat I had a girls weekend planned in Maine– I warned Josie and Melyssa that I was going to need their help a bit creating things for the retreat- and they were AWESOME with helping.
There were a lot of prizes to be had, Mister Harley inspected them beforehand and made sure they were good enough!
I was wicked excited to share with the attendees one of their pieces of swag they got to take home. Another custom stamp I designed! 🙂
You can see I am still using Chari Moss’s banner. I promised to take care of the banner and enjoy it for many events to come!
I set up a mini store again full of goodies from Lawn Fawn and Simon Says Stamp along with the essentials like foam tape and quickie glue pens. Chris did a great job at setting up a point of sale system and ringing everyone out. (You can see Mister Harley was working hard too)
We had two full days of creative time and an awesome group of people both days! I love catching up with old friends… and meeting new ones 😉
AND… I saved a fun thing to share till last. All day Friday during the set up and Saturday during the event I had a camera set up shooting pics, to put together a time lapse. Chris Judge is the videographer I work with at Providence College and he set it up and put it together for me. Have fun watching! Now don’t you want to come to the next one? Be sure to read more details after the video!
The next Loft Art Retreat is FAST approaching! November 1st! There are still a few spots available. This time there will not be a Sunday session- so don’t delay in signing up! I have posted more pictures of the sample here
