You Make Me Happy, Blended Background with Reverse Confetti

Hey everyone! Welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge! Thank you to everyone who joined us for our challenge last week and we hope you will all join us again this week too. This week the challenge is Color of Love!

You Make Me Happy, Blended Background with Reverse Confetti

When I purchased this set I had a different creative idea in mind… it wasn’t quite working out for me. Although I haven’t given up on that idea all together I went in a different direction for this card I am sharing today.

I started by ink blending the background with Distress Ink (Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry and Festive Berries). The I used the Misti and Versafine Black Ink to stamp “You make me happy” all over the background. Using the Misti made it easy to get crisp black images.

Next I die cut a stitched heart out of vellum and “xoxo” letters out of red cardstock. Adhering these to the cards I hid the foam tape behind the “xoxo”s. To finish off the card I sprinkled some sequins here and there.
