You Got This, Lawn Fawnatics
I have many close friends who are teachers, all in different school districts, and states. Talking with them and hearing the “plan” for fall, and knowing it has changed many times on them. Everything is so stressful, my heart just goes out to them. I wanted to create a card with an uplifting, bold message. I had a lot of fun with this one!
I started by ink blending the clouds in the background. Using the Cloudy stencil and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink. I then ink blended a piece of cardstock with Twisted Citron Distress Oxide ink, die-cut it with the grassy border, and then inked the top with some Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink.
I then colored with Copics some images from Village Heros, the school, the bus, and the Xing sign.
Next, I die cut the stitched rainbow using Lawn Fawn cardstock. Guava, Fake Tan, Sunflower, Cilantro and Mermaid.
Lastly, I die cut the message “you got this” using Louie’s abc’s and Black Licorice cardstock. This is a perfect font for all things school!
I adhered the grass to the cloudy background and die-cut it out of the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables. I assembled the rest of the card and adhered the panel to a white cardstock card base.
Hope this encouragement card brightens a teacher’s day. I can’t wait to see what cards you create!
