Warm Watercolored Background, Thanks

Hey, everyone! Welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge! Thank you to everyone who joined us for our challenge last week and we hope you will all join us again this week too. This week the challenge is Summer Sunshine!

Warm Watercolored Background, Thanks

I love summer and create a lot of cards around that theme, so I decided to switch it up a bit this week and go for “sunshiny” colors. I just got some new Daniel Smith Watercolors and I was itching to play with those. I embossed the beautiful Cora Background Stamp on Distress Watercolor Cardstock. Then I did a wash of a few different watercolor colors.

I framed the background on some Lawn Fawn Sunflower Cardstock. For the sentiment I used one of SSS hand-painted dies. I LOVE these and use them so much. I die-cut the word “thanks” 5 times and stacked them for some dimension. To finish off the card I added some Neat & Tangled gold sequins.
