Hey crafty friends! 👋 I’m popping in to share a card I made using some of my favorite Tim Holtz stamps and stencils from Stampers Anonymous.
Fun fact: Stampers Anonymous doesn’t retire their Tim Holtz designs, so there’s a huge library of awesome stamps and stencils you might not have seen in a while (or totally forgot you had 😉).
Hope this project sparks some inspiration to dig into your stash and get creative! ✨

Vintage Blue Pumpkin Card, Tim Holtz

Happy Halloween: Vintage Blue Pumpkin Card
Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing a Halloween card with a softer, vintage feel, featuring a dusty blue pumpkin against a warm, textured background. 🎃
The Background
I started with Distress Kraft Heavystock paper and created the background using Tim Holtz’s Linen stencil, Distress Micro Glaze, and Distress Oxide Sprays. The Micro Glaze resists the sprays wherever it’s applied, so the linen texture shows through the rich golds and oranges. I love how the kraft paper gives everything an earthy, aged look.
Next, I stamped some of the script from the Obscure stamp set with Distress Oxide Ink for a little vintage ephemera. I trimmed the panel to 4″ x 5.25″ and ran a paper distresser along the edges to rough them up and add even more character.
The Pumpkin
The focal point is the pumpkin from Halloween Blueprint 2. I stamped it onto Distress Watercolor Cardstock and watercolored it with Distress Watercolor Pencils in shades of blue for an unexpected twist on the classic orange pumpkin. The cool blue looks so striking against the warm background! I then fussy cut it out and added it to the panel.
The Sentiment
To finish, I white embossed “Happy Halloween” from the Blueprint Spells stamp set onto black cardstock and tucked it across the bottom of the pumpkin.
Finishing Touches
For a final detail, I added a touch of Distress Rock Candy Clear to the pumpkin. I love the shimmer it gives, but I also love the subtle texture it adds. It’s the perfect little bit of sparkle to finish off the card!
Thanks for Stopping By!
I hope this card inspires you to try a fresh color twist on a Halloween classic! Do you prefer traditional orange pumpkins, or are you loving the blue and white pumpkin trend? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!
