Tim Holtz STAMPtember Exclusive, 5 holiday cards

09/20/2018

Hi everyone!! I am back with some more STAMPtember fun! I was so excited when I went to my mailbox only to find the Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous STAMPtember set! I was so inspired by this stamp set and the stencil I have 5 cards to share with you!

Tim Holtz STAMPTEMBER Exclusive Cling Rubber Stamps and Stencil

STAMPtember is a month-long party hosted by Simon Says Stamp. Throughout the month they release exclusive products from themselves and other companies. There are limited quantities of these products so you have to act fast! Once this set is sold out, it is gone forever!

Tim Holtz STAMPtember Exclusive, 5-holiday cards

What’s fun about this stamp set and stencils is that you can make a wide variety of cards. I have some traditional and non-traditional holiday cards to share with you.

Best Wishes

For this card, I used the new Alcohol Lift Ink Pad, where you pick up the color from an Alcohol Inked background on Yupo paper and stamp it on regular cardstock, this is how I got the multi-colored image. I then stamped the background with Old Paper Distress Ink and inked the edges with the same. I embossed the sentiment with gold embossing powder on vellum.

Peace & Joy

I think this might be my favorite from the 5 cards I made. For the background, I used one of the shifter stencils included. Using Distress Oxide ink in Candied Apple and Worn Lipstick I created this yummy candy cane background. I stamped the holly sprigs a few times with Crushed Olive and Aged Mahogany Distress Oxide inks and fussy cut them out. I embossed the sentiment in gold embossing powder. I inked everything but the holly with Old Paper Distress Ink. Lastly, I added a trim of Distress Vintage Glitter Dust.

Christmas Greetings

Ok, I love the background of this one 🙂 I ink blended with Distress Oxide Inks in Candied Apple, and Tumbled Glass. Then I stamped the music note background with Vintage Photo regular Distress Ink. I golf embossed the main image and fussy cut it out. I stamped the sentiment with Candied Apple Distress Oxide, and fussy cut my own banner. On the card background I used the snowy stencil and spread some Textured Embossing Paste, and then sprinkled some Rock Candy Distress Glitter on it while wet.

merry

Ok, you knew I was going to have to do a non-traditional card with non-Tim Holtz colors 😉

I used another shifter stencil included with this set to create the tree background with Worn Lipstick and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Inks as well as Distress Brushes. Super easy. Then I did some die cut stacking with the Tim Holtz BOgz Cutout Lower. The lower level I cut from Guava Lawn Fawn cardstock (4 layers) and then the top layer I cut it from Lawn Fawn Gold Sparkle Cardstock.

Very Merry Christmas

Lastly, I created another multi-colored image using the Alcohol Lift Ink, this time fussy cutting out the image once I had it stamped. I inked the image and the Distress Woodgrain Cardstock layer with Old Paper Distress Ink. I edged the woodgrain layer with Distress Vintage Glitter Dust and added Clear Rock Candy Dry Glitter to the flower in the image. The sentiment comes from Tim Holtz Occasions Small Talk stickers.

I hope these cards have inspired you! Be sure to get your set QUICK! It is sure to sell out fast, and remember when it’s gone… it’s GONE!

Okay, well I was thinking that I didn’t need this set, and can save myself some money, BUT, your cards are so inspirational ! My favorites are Merry and the Best Wishes for the Holiday Season. I love how you are incorporating vellum in so many of your designs. So many of us old timers who used vellum years ago, have forgotten how much we loved it. Thanks for sharing. I look forward each day to see what you gave come up with!
