Tim Holtz/Sizzix: NEW Halloween Products!
I have been enjoying the summer, but at the same time, I have been having SO much fun creating Halloween projects! Let’s get started with all the details for the card I have to share with you today!
For this card, I started by creating some colorful pumpkins with the new Pumpkin Duo Colorize die set.
I was inspired that now when you go to pick out your pumpkins, not only are you seeing orange ones but there are bluish ones, yellow ones, etc. So I used a little creative license and had fun with my pumpkin colors!
I ink blended some Distress White Heavystock in the following colors of Distress Oxide to create the three pumpkins:
Orange Pumpkin
- Scattered Straw
- Wild Honey
- Carved Pumpkin
- Rusty Hinge
Blue Pumpkin
- Salvaged Patina
- Broken China
- Uncharted Mariner
- Chipped Sapphire
Purple Pumpkin
- Shaded Lilac
- Wilted Violet
- Dusty Concord
- Villainous Potion
Stems
- Crushed Olive
- Rustic Wilderness
Of course, anytime I am ink blending, I love using the inkstands, they hold my ink pads in place. I put the layers together using Distress Collage Medium.
For the background, I stamped the newsprint stamp from the Newsprint and Type stamp set, using Ground Espresso Distress Ink onto Distress Kraft Cardstock. I then splattered some water droplets onto it with the Distress sprayer. I dried it with the Ranger Heat tool. Lastly, I added some Empty Tomb Distress Mica Stains droplets and dried that.
I trimmed the panel down, inked the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, and matted it onto some dark brown cardstock. I added the pumpkins with some black foam strips and then finished it off with a sentiment sticker from the Seasonal Small Talk Stickers. These are no longer available, but I just love them so much!
