Sweet Strawberries, Lawn Fawnatics

OK! Back to this fun challenge! We ask that you use the above image and colors for inspiration in your creation. Remember the only rule, is to use at least ONE Lawn Fawn item.

Sweet Strawberries, Lawn Fawnatics

Ok, you might be thinking “why strawberries?!” – someone gave kelly the cutest card in the booth at Creativation and it had adorable little strawberries- I forgot we had a strawberry die- it is part of the Stitched Cupcake! I was dreaming about making something with it since I got home from the tradeshow- so I decided to recreate the hearts with strawberries!

I started by cutting a lot of strawberries and tops out of Distress Watercolor Cardstock. Then I watercolored the strawberries using a lot of yummy Lawn Fawn inks in the following colors:

• Guava
• Raspberry
• Lobster
• Peach Fuzz
• Sunflower
• Freshly Cut Grass
• Cilantro
• Merman
• Mermaid
• Moonstone
• Forget-Me-Not
• Grape Jelly

Then I proceeded to place them on the card base using a Lawn Fawn Glue Tube.

For the sentiment, I combined Big Scripty Words (Love ya!) with Simple Wavy Sayings (Thinking of you) using Hippo and Manatee inks. I wanted something that would stand out on top of the strawberries, but not take away from all the different colors.
