STAMPtember: You Got This

Simon Says Stamp sent me the new Sunflower Dreams stamp set. I had so much fun playing with it and I hope you find my card inspiring!
I started by embossing the image onto Distress Watercolor Cardstock twice. I used a Versafine Onyx Black ink pad and Simon Says Stamp Clear Detail Embossing Powder. Whenever I do ANY embossing, I prep the surface using the Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool. I then watercolored the pumpkins using Distress Watercolor Pencils.
One panel I watercolored with just browns, and I added some white splatter. The second panel I watercolored only one sunflower, then fussy cut it out and added it to the card with foam squares.
I trimmed the background down to be 4″ x 5.25″ and then matted it onto ground coffee cardstock.
For the sentiment, I used one of the EZ strips sets from Simon Says Stamp; they have several available. Lastly I added some Distress Rock Candy to some of the sunflower with Distress Collage Medium.
If you are looking to learn more about and become more comfortable with Distress Watercolor Pencils check out my two online classes. I also have featured them in a few online Lawn Fawn classes, check out those links below.

I hope this inspires you, and maybe even “jennables” you to need some new goodies!
Hope you have a fabulous time during all of the STAMPtember celebrations!!
