Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Have a Heart

01/21/2015

Time for a NEW Simon Says Stamp Wednesday ChallengeI am back with a Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge card!

This week the challenge is Have A Heart

We are showcasing Glitter Ritz and Wink of Stella Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.

I didn’t have any Glitter Ritz, but I love my clear Wink of Stella Pen AND was in a Valentine Mood so I created the following card
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, Have a Heart featuring Wink of Stella | shurkus.com

Tiny Spaced Heart Stencil, Simon Says Stamp

I started by using translucent embossing paste through the Simon Says Stamp Tiny Spaced Heart stencil. While it was still wet I sprinkled crystal ultrafine glitter over the tiny hearts. I set it aside to dry.

Stitched Party Banners, Lawn Fawn

I die cut a Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle out of Distress Watercolor Cardstock and inspired by Kristina Werners’ Make a Card Monday–  I used my Distress Ink Pads to pool together some watercolor. I also used the inks to color the heart from Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Party Banner die set.

I die cut Simon Says Stamp “Sending” from Snow Boots Lawn Fawn paper. I also die cut the stitched circle from Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Party Banner die set.

Sending, Wafer Die: Simon Says Stamp

I then splattered some Picked Raspberry Distress Ink on the glittered heart background.

To do this, I just smooched some ink on my Ranger Craft Sheet and then spritzed with water, to get a good pool of color. Then you pick it up with a paintbrush and i tap the brush over my card, letting the drips go where they would like.

And I splattered some Heirloom Gold Perfect Pearls Spray on the stitched rectangle and the glittered heart background. I added Clear Wink of Stella on the heart and the word “Sending” It is so hard to photograph that shimmer.

Fun right?
