I am back with a Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge card! Thank you for joining us for the Furry Friends challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too. This week the challenge is Get In Shape! No square or rectangle creations and you can enter up to 5 times! 🙂
We are showcasing Lawn Fawn Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used. As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store.
If you follow my blog regularly you KNOW that Lawn Fawn is one of my all time favorite companies! I am a lucky girl because I get to teach classes for them at local stores and trade shows throughout the year. I am SUPER excited as I will be heading out to Chicago in a few days to teach a class with Kelly at a retailer’s event. The class is with ALL new holiday, fall and winter goodies. ssshhhh I will try and sneak peek some things 😉 so be sure to follow me on instagram!
This week has just happened to be a very Lawn Fawn week here on my blog. Feel free to check out my other 2 posts I shared as well!
- Tutorial Video: Lawn Fawn Ombre Birthday Card Set
- Lawn Fawn Hello Card with Distress Inks and Perfect Pearl Mists
Lawn Fawn has a lot of great stand alone dies that create fun little “containers”. These can be used as party favors, to give someone a sweet gift, place cards etc. I wanted to try out the new Milk Carton Die because let’s be honest, it is stinking cuuuute! Since I haven’t used this die yet I was sure to watch Kelly’s introduction video to show me how to put it together.
I cut the milk carton out of Kraft Cardstock. I decided to decorate it with Here’s The Scoop. Lawn Fawn recently came out with a coordinating die for this set and it is perfect to get the detail around those ice cream scoops! I used Distress Inks and watercolored the images. You can see I have quite the stack of yummy ice cream on a sugar cone (my fave) which was stamped in Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
I was testing out what Ice Cream flavors to use and shared a sneak peek on instagram of how yummy they looked together!
Ice Cream Flavors:
- Pistachio (I used Shabby Shutters)
- Chocolate (Walnut Stain)
- French Vanilla ( Scattered Straw)
- Strawberry (Worn Lipstick)
Once I layered the ice cream onto the milk carton I added some glossy accents here and there and sprinkled Rock Candy Dry Distress Stickles to add a fun sugar topping. I also stamped the “treat yourself” sentiment from the new Treat Yourself stamp set with Lawn Fawn Walnut ink, and then inked over it with Scattered Straw Distress Ink. I stamped and die cut a few tiny hearts from the Baked With Love set to sprinkle on the box.
I thought this would be so fun for an ice cream party, and you could put some fun ice cream toppings on the inside!
Ok- so now it’s time for YOU to enter the challenge. Remember, Get In Shape! is the theme so have fun and create whatever inspires YOU! Just by playing along and linking up your project to the SSS Wednesday Challenge post you can qualify to enter a $50 shopping voucher to the Simon Says Stamp store.

There will be ONE lucky winner that will be chosen at random, it could be you!
