Simon Says Stamp Exclusive Release: Be Creative

Hey everyone! Today I am sharing with you some fun cards I created with some of the new exclusive products from the Simon Says Stamps Be Creative Release!

A Glazing Day, Simon Says Stamp

For these cards, I used the new Fantastic Flowers stamp set. I scribbled Distress Watercolor Pencils directly onto the stamps, misted them with water using the Distress Sprayer, and stamped them onto the smooth side of Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I played with mixing colors directly on the stamps and letting the different colors pool together. I like to dip the pencil directly into a cup of water to soften the color and make it easier to spread it onto the stamp.

A few dot stamps are included in the Fantastic Flowers stamp set, and I scribbled Hickory Smoke Distress Watercolor Pencils onto those and stamped them here and there on the background. I then added some splatters using a paintbrush and brushed directly off the tip of the Distress Watercolor Pencils. I dried these backgrounds with a Ranger Heat Tool. I then die cut the backgrounds out of the largest stitched rectangle from Lawn Fawn’s Outside In Stitched Rectangle set.

For the sentiments, I used the new Big and Bold 2 stamp set, and Versafine Onyx Black Ink. I added a touch of sparkle with Pinkfresh Studio’s Champagne Glitter Drops.
