Happy New Year!!!

Welcome to any new visitors that are hopping along. Hello to those who visit my blog regularly. 2016. WOW! It’s always such a good feeling when a new year is here, isn’t it?

I will be sharing some of my faves from 2015 in the next few days but this post is all about thanking you, yep YOU!

This is the first time I am part of the Seasons Givings Blog Hop and I’m excited to be part of such a great event. This is a time for all of us to say “thank you” to all of you who visit our sites during the year and who are part of this awesome artsy crafty community.

If you are new here I would love for you to

If you are new to the Seasons Givings Blog Hop- Have fun visiting all the links below- everyone is giving away something! You will have some awesome chances to win and hopefully find some awesome inspiration along the way!

Sharing Inspiration

First I want to share with you some inspiration! I have been obsessed with watercoloring throughout the WHOLE year so it is only fitting for this group of thank you cards to be full of watercolor goodness! As usual I watercolored these with Distress Ink. I plan on sending these out to some special peeps who spoiled me this holiday season. Be sure to keep reading to see how I am spoiling some of my readers!

Thank You Watercolor Cards with Dina Wakley Media Stamps, Winnie and Walter stamps and Distress Ink | shurkus.com

These fabulous bird images are from the Scribbly Birds Stamp Set from Dina Wakley Media. All the birds were stamped with Antique Linen Distress Ink. This is a nice light color so that whatever you paint over it will over power it and look like you are a natural watercolorist.I had a lot of fun playing with different color combos for each card and you can see the Distress Ink colors I used below. The sentiment is from Big Bold You a Winnie and Walter stamp set. It is easy to ink the parts of the word that you want to use so it can be just “thanks” or “thank you” I used my most favorite ink pad- Versafine Onyx Black. Lastly these cards are all created on Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I have been using this cardstock for almost all of my cards. I love it!

What beautiful cards you create with that Dina Wakely Scribbly Bird stamp and watercolor! I want to thank you for participating in this hop and for the wonderful giveaways. I don’t own any Tim Holtz stamps and have always wanted some, so this was exciting for me! As for what I would like to see you teach, I still would like to learn more about watercoloring if you would be willing, and frankly a series on some of the tools out there, like the Fuse, that I don’t know ,ugh about would also be appreciated. Anything you teach would be appreciated and I will learn from though?
