Scrapbook and Cards Today Feature: Product Play, Distress Inks

12/7/2018

I am honored to be in the winter issue of Scrapbook & Cards today which just so happens to be their 52nd issue. 3 of my cards are featured in the Product Play section, and the product they are featuring is Distress Inks! I had so much fun creating the 3 cards featured that are sneaked below and using supplies from Lawn Fawn, Hero Arts and Simon Says Stamp. The cool thing is you are able to read the whole issue online here.

The other fun announcement is ladies and gentleman… I created a tutorial video for you all to see! It doesn’t happen as often as I would like, but I am happy when it does!

Multi-colour Inking Resist

Definitely check out this publication, we all know there aren’t many left to inspire us and this is a fabulous one to support! They are also the ones who host Crop & Create which is a wicked fun papercrafting retreat. I had so much fun teaching at one in Cornwall in September and will be back at their Moncton event in March!

That was an awesome tutorial! How do you get your distress inks so smooth on the background. Is it the card stock that you use? Thanks for sharing this with us and I am certainly going to try this.

Congratulations on being featured. That doesn’t surprise me. Your work is always so nice.

I just got finished putting my Distress Inks up to sell at a later date. I use the DOX now instead. I don’t have Facebook as I read you were going to say why we shouldn’t get rid of our Distress Inks so I’m wondering why not get rid of them? I can move the DOX around the paper so much easier. Inquiring minds want to know!

[…] On a sheet of Distress Watercolor Cardstock I set up the 4 butterflies from the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set,  in a Misti and inked them up with multiple Distress Ink colors. Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seedless Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers, Seedless Preserves. I then inked them up with Versamark, and stamped over the Distress Ink so I could emboss them with clear powder. I have a tutorial on this over here. […]
