Hey everyone! I’m wicked excited to share that Ranger Ink has a fun new release of stamps & stencils! 🎉 I am sharing a couple cards with you for inspiration!

Cheers, Ranger Ink

For this card, I started by ink blending Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Squeezed Lemonade, Mermaid Lagoon, and Wilted Violet onto Distress White Heavystock. I used an ink blending tool with domed foam to build up really intense color and get nice, saturated blends.
Next, I added texture by pressing white pigment ink through the Pegboard Stencil using an ink blending tool with foam. Whenever I’m working with stencils, I use the Make-Art Stay-tion, it keeps everything perfectly in place and makes the process so much easier.
Once the background was dry, I splattered Black Soot Distress Paint over the panel for contrast and interest, then trimmed it down to 4” x 5.25”.
For the focal images, I stamped and white heat embossed the martini and “cheers” sentiment from the Chic Birthday stamp set. I fussy cut them out and adhered them with foam squares for dimension. To finish things off, I went back over some of the black splatters with Black Diamond Stickles for a subtle touch of sparkle.

Friends Until The End, Ranger Ink

This card started with ink blending Distress Inks in Kitsch Flamingo, Worn Lipstick, Dried Marigold, and Squeezed Lemonade onto Distress White Heavystock. Again, I used an ink blending tool with domed foam to achieve bold, saturated color.
I then layered in some pattern using Distress Oxide Inks: Kitsch Flamingo, Worn Lipstick, Spiced Marmalade, and Mustard Seed, pressed through the Sprinkle Hearts Stencil. The Make-Art Stay-tion came in handy here too, keeping everything lined up while blending.
After splattering Black Soot Distress Paint across the background and letting it dry, I trimmed the panel to 4” x 5.25”.
The stars and sentiment were stamped and white heat embossed from the Charmed stamp set, fussy cut, and popped up with foam squares. Just like the first card, I added a little Black Diamond Stickles to some of the splatters for extra sparkle.

These cards are a great reminder that bold color, simple stencils, and strong contrast can go a long way. Don’t worry about perfection, just have fun blending, layering, and letting the colors shine. I hope this inspires you to pull out your inks, get a little inky, and create something that makes you smile 💛
