Rainbow Is My Favorite Color, Simon Says Stamp Card Kit

Rainbow Is My Favorite Color, Simon Says Stamp Card Kit

This kit is so inspiring, I was able to create these 3 cards fairly quickly, and I can’t wait to create more. I love that the 6×8 stamp set gives you stamps to easily build different rainbows, and the sentiments are perfect!

For this first card, I created a slimline card. I die cut 4 rainbows from the Simon Says Stamp Holographic Rainbow Cardstock that was included in the kit. It is such a pretty cardstock and made this card wicked easy to put together.

I stenciled some clouds in the background using the Build a Rainbow stencil, and some Salvaged Patina Distress Ink. I then attached the rainbows and embellished them with some cloud stickers from Doodlebug, also included in the kit. I also added some of the fairy jewels included in the kit for some added bling.

For this next card, I built a rainbow band using the 6×8 stamp set included in the kit with Distress Oxide inks (Kitsch Flamingo, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Salvaged Patina, and Wilted Violet). I then inked a cloud using the stencil included. To finish off the card I stamped one of the sentiments and added some Doodlebug Sprinkles and Fairy Jewels.

For this third card, I built my own rainbow using the stencil in the kit, and sponge daubers. Using a finger sponge dauber allowed me to create an ombre of color on each rainbow stripe. I used regular Distress Inks (Kitsch Flamingo, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Salvaged Patina, Wilted Violet and Picked Raspberry).

There are so many other cards I could create with this awesome card kit, I didn’t even get a chance to play with adorable Doodlebug papers, but that is typical of me, to hoard them and pet them! I hope you enjoy these cards and find them inspiring for when you get your kit!
