Rainbow Friendship Card, Honey Bee Stamps

Remember the rainbow I used on one of the cards I designed for the Summer issue of Scrapbook Cards & Today? If you missed that post you can see it here.

When creating the rainbow for the above card, I had leftover pieces for 6 more rainbows, so I used them and just started the rainbow with a different color then just pink or red.

To create these rainbows I started by ink blending pieces of cardstock with Distress Oxide. My goto colors for a rainbow are:

• Picked Raspberry
• Festive Berries
• Spiced Marmalade
• Mustard Seed
• Twisted Citron
• Peacock Feathers
• Wilted Violet

Then I pressed the pad of regular distress onto my Ranger Craft sheet, the same colors listed above. Using water I loaded a paintbrush with the inky color, one at a time. I splattered the coordinating ink onto the ink blended background. The regular Distress ink and water reacted with the Distress Oxide. Then I used the Lawn Fawn Rainbow die, and die cut out each panel of cardstock. Next, I pieced together each of the rainbows. I kept them in ROYGBIV order, I just changed which color to start with to be able to use all of the die cut pieces.

Next, I stamped that really fun Honey Bee stamps sentiment I shared the other day on these cards.

I added some iridescent sequins with a Lawn Fawn Glue Tube. This was a fun stack of cards to send out to friends!
