Nautical Dad’s Day Card, Tim Holtz

Hey, everyone! Welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge! Thank you to everyone who joined us for our challenge last week and we hope you will all join us again this week too. This week the challenge is Masculine Cards!

Nautical Dad’s Day Card, Tim Holtz

I have been excited for this new Sea Life Tim Holtz set since he sneaked it back in January! This lobster is amazing! I just love the detail!

And you know what ink I used to stamp it? Distress Oxide in Fired Brick!! Since Distress Oxide inks have pigment/dye fusion, the pigment properties allow for a very crisp and detailed stamped image!

I also have been playing with these inks a TON and shared them in many different ways, you can see all of these posts here

I inked up the background with Broken China Distress Oxide, and stamped some of the seaweed with Peeled Paint Distress Oxide. I then stamped out “DAD” with Tim Holtz Tall Text ABC stamps.

I attached the banner with Tim Holtz’s Tiny Attacher, I just love using that little stapler when adhering just isn’t enough. I can’t wait to give this card to my Dad in a couple weeks he will be coming to the Cape to celebrate with me 🙂
