Ok, now onto some inspiration!
Happy Harvest
For this card, I used the Orange Liquid Watercolor, and did a wash over a piece of Distress Watercolor Cardstock. Then I took a dark brown piece of cardstock and die cut out the new Cloudy Moon Fancy Die. I used this die as a more ornate window- which I think is a fun idea! On some more watercolor cardstock, I stamped the new Autumn Bounty images. I watercolored them with the Daniel Smith Watercolor Dot Card that comes as part of the kit. The colors were perfect for the pumpkin, ghourds and harvest corn.
Once I die cut out the images I layered them onto the card. To finish it off I stamped the sentiment.
Happy Autumn
For this card, I started off with the Ornate Floral Stencil, and I inked Black Soot Distress Ink with a Distress Blending Brush.
I then stamped a bunch of the Textured Leaves stamps with Distress Oxide Ink on cardstock. I started by inking the whole leaf in the lightest color, then dabbing more colors in layers, and then stamping it. Distress Oxide colors I used: Mustard Seed, Fossilized Amer, Wild Honey, Ripe Persimmon, Barn Door, Crushed Olive, Vintage Photo. Once all the leaves were stamped and die cut out I inked the edges with regular Distress Ink in Vintage Photo. I then spread a layer of Crazing Distress Collage Medium. Once dry there was a bit of sheen onto the leaves and a subtle crackle.
To finish off this I used the sentiment “Happy Autumn” from the main kit and stamped it on a scrap of cardstock that had the orange watercolor wash. I cut it out by hand, I call this “word fetti”.
