Hey everyone! Welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge! Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Anything Goes challenge last week and we hope you will all join us again this week too. This week the challenge is Masking!
There are several ways you can create a mask:
- by simply tearing paper you can create hills and valleys
- die cutting a shape
- using a stencil
- masking fluid
- simply stamping an image onto scratch paper and cutting around it
The possibilities are almost endless! We will be looking forward to seeing what technique you use to create your project!
We are featuring Altenew this week. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge, but if you have them we would love to see them used! As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store! YAY!
Masking & Watercoloring with Altenew
I am using 2 sets today. Painted Inspiration and Simple Shapes. I started out by stamping the sentiment on a piece of Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I then placed some Post It Tape over the sentiment in a block shape. Taking all the different shapes from the Simple Shapes Set, I stamped with versamark and then heat embossed with white powder. When I peeled the masking tape off I then watercolored with different Distress Ink colors. This is a very different look then something I would normally make but I think they turned out to be fun encouragement cards!
Ok- so now it’s time for YOU to enter the challenge. Remember, Mask It! is the theme so have fun! Just by playing along and linking up your project to the SSS Wednesday Challenge post you can qualify to enter a $50 shopping voucher to the Simon Says Stamp store.
I really hope to see some of my blog readers join in on all the fun and play along with the challenge. I can’t wait to stop by some of your blogs and take a peek at what you have made. Have a wicked fun time creating!
Supplies I used are linked below. Click on the picture and you will be taken to the product. I use affiliate links when available which means if you make a purchase I get a small commission at no extra cost to you. Thank you for your support!
