Hey friends! Simon Says Stamp has come out with some more coordinating dies to work with Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous stamp sets! I used some of the fabulous coordinating dies to create these cards.
These dies are exclusively available at Simon Says Stamp! 🙌
Not only do they save you from all that fussy cutting, but they also unlock a whole new world of creative possibilities, especially when it comes to layering and collage. Let’s dive in!

Make Things Happen, Tim Holtz

For this card, I started by creating the background. I laid out several of the postal-themed images together to cover an entire panel of Distress Watercolor Cardstock, then picked them up with a large acrylic block to create my own background stamp.
Next, I rubbed Distress Watercolor Pencils directly onto the stamps in rainbow order, making sure each image was coated with color. I misted the stamps with water using a Distress Sprayer, then stamped the images onto the cardstock to create a vibrant, layered background.
To add more interest and dimension, I stamped a few additional postal images using Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink and die cut them with the new coordinating dies. I collaged these pieces on top of the rainbow background, allowing some areas to overlap for a more organic look.
I finished the card by adding a sentiment from Tim Holtz Small Talk stickers, and lightly dusted the edges with Distress Rock Candy Chunky Glitter for a subtle touch of sparkle.
