Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Designer Spotlight, Cate Dixson

Hey everyone! This post is a little bit different then my usual posts. I am hosting some projects for Cate, Chris’s youngest daughter as she is the guest designer on the  Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge for the month of December! She has participated the past few years in the Kid’s Challenge, so she was so excited to be asked to be a guest designer.

Cate Dixson

For the past few weeks she has been busy going through my supplies, sketching out ideas and creating. I didn’t help her at all, except to locate a supply in my messy room 😉 To see her creative process and the clever projects she came up with all on her own was inspiring within itself!

Please consider playing along, This weeks theme is Let There Be Snow! As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store! YAY!

Let There Be Snow Shaker Card, by Cate Dixson

In Cate’s words: “I made a shaker card out of the Simon Says Stamp birch tree die. I wanted the trees to have that scratched birch tree look which I created with a white gel pen and used distress markers over the leaves.”

A little side note from me: as I have mentioned before I am afraid of shaker cards! I have only made a few and those have been most recently! I have never shown Cate how to create a shaker, but she really ROCKED this card!!
