Ok, Ok, I know I said that the last challenge was my favorite, BUT this one is my favorite too! It’s only fitting that this weeks challenge is all about sentiments- seeing as I just got home from a fabulous conference learning all about typography on the web.
Ampersand was an amazing conference that has left my head swimming (in a good way) with ideas AND respect all over again for type designers. They are very dedicated and their attention to detail is ridiculous! Now, it probably comes to no surprise to you that i love letters. I love letter forms, I’m a font snob. I love lowercase letters, not because I don’t know when and where to capitalize things- I just think most capital letters are ugly 🙂 . I have a bunch of wood mounted alphabet stamps, clear & cling alphabet stamps. I have a ridiculous amount of sticker letters in all different mediums, sizes, colors etc. Yes, My name is Jenn and I am addicted to letters. So, this challenge was SO fun using a variety of Lawn Fawn sets and create this series of cards. I had this idea in mind of using all the hello’s from all the different Lawn Fawn sets – just wasn’t sure how to go about it. Then I remembered this great tutorial video from Jennifer McGuire that I watched, re-watched it and got down to creating!
Once I created one card- I play with switching up the elements and created 2 other designs. Super easy once you get all the stamps set up on your clear block!
Note: now that the season is changing, and its getting darker later in the day I need to come up with a new system in the #shurkloft for filming my cards, I apologize for the not so great pics of this weeks challenge cards.
Thank you Simon Says Stamp for hosting this challenge and offering up the fabulous prize!
